Announcement of Election Results

At our Annual General Meeting today, President Maria Dew KC declared the recent election results for President-Elect and Bar Council members. Ms Dew welcomed the new Council members and welcomed back those on the Council who were continuing for another term. She said that she was looking forward to working with them. She commented, "It is wonderful to have people of such calibre wanting to join our Council. We have a lot of work ahead in the next council term and significant changes facing the legal profession. I am confident that we have a great team to work on the issues that will arise."

Ms Dew also thanked those members of the Council who were standing down, for their work and support. They have made a significant contribution, and she hopes they will continue to be interested and supportive of the Bar Association's mahi.
