Below is a list of current ceremonies that require KC attendance. Please click the registration link for those you wish to attend and enter the appropriate details. You do not need to log in to the NZBA system to register.
Attendance - can be in person or remotely. See individual ceremonies for options.
Attire for ceremonies is either:
- full ceremonial attire – which includes a wig, white court shirt, bands, black jacket and gown; or
- a gown over business clothing.
Please note: Wigs should not be worn unless full traditional attire is selected.
Members who are not attired in one of those ways may join the ceremony by sitting behind the bar, in the public gallery. Please email us if you have any questions.
Swearing in Ceremony | Judge Beaton | 2 July 2026
Members are invited to attend the swearing in ceremony for Judge Kerryn Beaton KC as a Judge of the District Court.
This ceremony will be held on Thursday 2 July at the Christchurch District Court, commencing with a mihi whakatau at 3.30pm.
