Below is a list of current ceremonies that require KC attendance. Please click the registration link for those you wish to attend and enter the appropriate details. You do not need to log in to the NZBA system to register.
Attendance - can be in person or remotely. See individual ceremonies for options.
Attire for ceremonies is either:
- full ceremonial attire – which includes a wig, white court shirt, bands, black jacket and gown; or
- a gown over business clothing.
Please note: Wigs should not be worn unless full traditional attire is selected.
Members who are not attired in one of those ways may join the ceremony by sitting behind the bar, in the public gallery. Please email us if you have any questions.
Call to the Inner Bar | Anna Adams | 1 May 2026
Members are invited to attend the Call to the Inner Bar ceremony for Anna Adams.
This ceremony will be held on Friday 1 May at the Auckland Hight Court, Courtroom 1 at 4pm. Please be seated by 3:50pm.
Swearing in Ceremony | Judge Macklin | 15 May 2026
Members are invited to attend the swearing in ceremony for Judge Christopher Macklin as a Judge of the District Court.
This ceremony will be held on Friday 15 May at the Nelson District Court at 3pm. Please be seated by 2:50pm.

Members are invited to attend the swearing in ceremony for Hon Justice Natalie Walker as a Judge of the High Court.
This ceremony will be held on Thursday 4 June at the Auckland High Court at 4pm. Please be seated by 3:50pm.

Members are invited to attend the swearing in ceremony for Hon Justice Rachel Sussock as a Judge of the High Court.
