Persia is a New Zealand barrister specialising in employment law, recognised for her clear, pragmatic advice and her ability to support both employers and employees. She focuses on building fair, transparent, and high‑functioning workplaces through advisory work, advocacy, mediation, and training.
With a background representing major employers, Persia offers balanced and commercially grounded insight. She provides early dispute resolution, formal investigations, and litigation services with the efficiency and empathy clients value.
Admitted to the High Court in 2010, Persia holds an LLB and BA from the University of Auckland. Her career includes senior legal leadership roles—most recently as Acting Head of Legal and General Counsel at the Employers and Manufacturers’ Association (Northern) Inc.—as well as time as a barrister in Brian Henry’s Chambers. Her expertise spans employment, privacy, and human rights law.
A skilled investigator and seasoned litigator, she has appeared before the Employment Relations Authority, High Court, Court of Appeal, and specialist tribunals. Thoughtful, ethical, and client‑centred, Persia is known for helping organisations and individuals resolve issues with clarity and confidence.
She is a practising barrister and a member of the New Zealand Bar Association, the Otago Women’s Law Society, and the Employment Law Institute of New Zealand, working with clients nationwide.
