Bryce Lyall

Bryce is a barrister, mediator and facilitator based in Tāmaki Makaurau, where he lives with his wife and young whānau.

He specialises in kaupapa Māori legal issues, human rights, trusts and governance, and public law. He appears in all senior courts, the Māori Land Court (MLC) and Māori Appellate Court, and specialist jurisdictions including the Waitangi Tribunal. Access to justice is central to his mahi: he is approved to provide civil legal aid across each of these jurisdictions, and accepts appointments under the Māori Land Court Special Aid Fund.

The Māori Land Court regularly appoints Bryce to facilitate resolution of whenua, reservation and trust disputes. He is available for appointment as a private mediator, and also as counsel for parties in mediation.
