Bryce Lyall

Bryce is a barrister based in Titirangi, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, where he lives with his wife and young whānau.

A public law and human rights barrister, Bryce primarily represents clients in the Waitangi Tribunal, Māori Land Court, Māori Appellate Court, High Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court. Concerned with access to jutice, he regularly undertakes legal aid and special aid work, holding approvals in the Waitangi Tribunal, Māori Land Court, Māori Appellate Court, and all higher courts. He is also approved for legal aid in Refugee and Immigration, and some family matters.

He holds LLB and BA (Political Science) degrees from the University of Canterbury, and a Masters of Laws (International Law, First Class Hons) from the University of Auckland. Bryce serves on the Auckland Branch Council of the New Zealand Law Society, the NZLS Public and Administrative Law Committee, and the Māori Land Court and Waitangi Tribunal Selection Committee, which assesses applications for legal aid approval. He is also a board member of Lawyers for Climate Action NZ Inc.
