Simon Jass

I'm a dispute resolution specialist with over two decades of experience, working as both a barrister and mediator.

I commenced my legal career in 2004 as a junior barrister in an Auckland Central Chambers. In 2009, I joined a national law firm’s dispute resolution team, where I spent more than 13 years supporting litigation teams across the North Island. As Special Counsel, I handled a wide mix of civil and commercial disputes, insolvency matters, and regulatory prosecutions.

In 2023, I began practicing independently as a barrister sole and accredited mediator. I help clients navigate conflict with clarity - whether that’s in court or through alternative dispute resolution.

As well as being a member of the New Zealand Law Society and Bar Association, I belong to:
• Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand (Fellow, Mediation)
• Resolution Institute (Professional Member)
