The new High Court Rules come into force on 1 January 2026. The Rules make very significant changes that amount to an overhaul of civil procedure.  The aim is to improve access to civil justice and streamline litigation processes.  We all need to be able to work with the new Rules from the start. 

In addition, the new Commercial List is in effect from 6 October 2025. This is another important development, aimed at streamlining commercial disputes where the claim is worth $1 million or more or involves significant or complex commercial issues. 

Both the new Rules and the new List see a significantly increased emphasis on obligations of counsel to co-operate and progress matters quickly to hearing. 

This webinar will cover the key aspects of these developments.
