Westlaw New Zealand is Thomson Reuters’ online legal research platform, offering comprehensive access to case law, legislation, commentary, alerts, journals as well as Tracker Analytics, an indexed collection of case outcomes and case summaries.

The two Westlaw subscription options we are providing to NZBA Members are:

  1. Offer 1: All Westlaw NZ content – Essentials, All Practice Areas, All Tracker Analytics and News
  2. Offer 2: Essentials plus any five Practice Areas

*note for Offer 2, Members will be able to substitute Tracker Analytics content for Practice Areas/s if desired.

Members can also choose to now add PDF book to either package Westlaw NZ package. PDFs of Westlaw's book collection are now available for purchase as add-ons to the existing topical practice area packages. The book PDFs provide a convenient, offline resource for legal research and are especially helpful when away from the office. Other uses include preparing bundles for court, presenting in court, and accurate citation of legal materials in accordance with the New Zealand Law Style Guide.

We are also pleased to announce that CoCounsel has now released in New Zealand. CoCounsel is Thomson Reuters AI Legal Assistant, capable of helping legal professionals perform tasks like reviewing, summarising and comparing documents, creating and searching your own databases, building chronologies and drafting legal materials.
