Oral Submissions Masterclass for Participants
You are purchasing a participant ticket.
Procedure
Participants will be given a set of written submissions and asked to deliver a 10-20 minute oral submission in front of a panel of judges, coaches and an audience of up to 40 attendees. The judges will ask questions during the submission and make general remarks at the end. The coaches will give a private critique with suggestions for improvement. Each participant will then have an opportunity to redeliver their submission. There will also be a plenary session as well as an address on oral advocacy from an expert.
The Bar Association’s approach in Masterclasses is collegial and supportive. This is an opportunity for all to practise and learn in a safe (and often enjoyable) environment.
Catering provided throughout the day and after the Masterclass, participants and observers are invited for drinks and canapés.
