Programme and Speakers:
Following on from 2016's well received and sold out conference, the Conference Committee has assembled an extraordinary cast of speakers to address this year's theme: Comparative Advocacy.
Of particular note, we are excited to welcome three stellar ex-patriate advocates back to New Zealand from their adopted jurisdictions. They will tell us about their approach to advocacy and also join in a panel discussion about approaches to advocacy and dispute resolution procedures across New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Australia and the USA.
We also have, as a guest speaker, lawyer, TV host and global tech entrepreneur, Ian Taylor CNZM, who will join us to relate his remarkable (non-legal) career, with his story of innovation and leadership building sports animation company, Animation Research Limited, in a uniquely Kiwi way.
Speakers and panellists include:
- The Hon. Justice William Young (Opening of conference)
- Tim Cameron (Key Note)
- Saul Holt QC (Key Note)
- Paul Key QC (Key Note)
- Ian Taylor CNZM (Guest Speaker)
- The Hon. Justice Joe Williams (Guest Speaker at Formal Dinner)
